DOUBLE WINS, DOUBLE SCREENINGS

April 29, 2007

Lots of exciting news to report...

DGW has won Audience Choice Awards at the Palm Beach International Film Festival AND the Atlanta Film Festival. Whoo-hoo! We're always thrilled to win awards because that means bigger audiences as we continue to travel to other festivals, and bigger audiences mean greater support for our cause.

Check out the great story Marc Pickard at 11Alive News in Atlanta did on DGW. It ran on April 20, just prior to our first screening in Altanta. You can read about it or watch it at:

We also owe a huge thanks to Atlanta Journal-Constitution reporter Bob Longino for promoting our film so heavily in Atlanta. He predicted we'd win in Atlanta, and we're so happy he was right!

Darius had a blast at the Clarke Central High School junior-senior prom on Friday night, and we have pictures!

Logan is promoting DGW nonstop at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York City, where he is staying at the Park Avenue apartment of the most gracious hosts ever, Earl and Janet Kramer (Tracy Seckler's parents). Meanwhile, Sam, Ben, Daniel, Tbarn and Darius are at the Independent Film Festival of Boston. DGW supporters and long-time friends of the crew Kason Rackley and Chris Williams drove the DGW van to Boston on Thursday so Big D would be able to get around Beantown in the comfort he's grown accustomed to, thanks to Dodge. Unfortunately, his pimped chair was acting up before he left to fly to Boston, so he's in his back-up electric chair. Thank you, Delta Airlines, for working so hard to make Darius' flight go so smoothly.

Today, at 2:30 PM, DGW was being shown simultaneously in Boston AND New York City.

Know about it!
